Sign Language and Digital Art: Magnet Button
In both International Sign (IS) and Turkish Sign Language (TİD), the concept of "Sign" has the same lucky presence. While the term “Sign” is widely used across the globe, hand gestures vary significantly from country to country.
Project Overview: In my "Homepage Hero Slider" project, I presented the meaning of two-handed sign language through the Magnet Button. Using a circular mouse drag interaction is a perfect way to experience the fluid motion of signing.
Future Roadmap: ASL Icon Button Creating a specialized button with an ASL icon for the word "SIGN" is a challenging feat technically; however, I am committed to evaluating this concept later this year.
How to Sign "SIGN" in ASL? Shape both hands into the "1" handshape (index fingers extended). Rotate them inward toward your body in large circles, moving them alternately like parallel wheels turning in the air.
This is how you sign
For correct usage of the sign, please pay attention to the facial expressions (mimics and gestures) shown in the video. Hand movements should be supported by gestures that reflect the emotional context.
This text is a temporary sample for the dictionary page and can be edited via the CMS editor. In sign language, meaning may vary depending on facial expressions, gestures, and hand movements.
